Mount Vinson

We have reached the final challenge in the pursuit of conquering the 7 Summits. A bone-chilling wind whips across as we battle our way through the Antarctic. Crossing snow-covered plains in an extremely hazardous part of the world. Before long, Mount Vinson looms before us, overlooking the icy wasteland. Located on the southern part of the Sentinel Range, Antarctic’s highest mountain is more than 1,200 kilometres (750 miles) from the South Pole. Making it the most remote of the 7 Summits. Covered in ice and snow, it was the last of the famous Summits to be discovered in 1957, climbed in 1966 and finally named in 2006. Hence, Mount Vinson is the perfect choice to complete our stupendous 7 Summits series.
