Golden Sinraptor

This year’s ANA release out of our Evolution of Life series can be considered a “new” dinosaur as the Sinraptor was discovered only 32 years ago in China with an almost complete skeleton. The name Sinraptor comes from the Latin prefix “Sino”, meaning Chinese, and “Raptor” meaning robber. The fossil discovered in China measures 3 m in height and 7.5 m in length. Sinraptor was estimated to have weighed over a ton! A 150 million years ago the Sinraptor may have hunted other medium sized dinosaurs.
