Erfoud Meteorite

Fourteen meteorite coins have been produced by CIT since 2004 making it perhaps the longest running meteorite coin series in the world. The latest addition to the extensive lineup is the Erfoud Meteorite NWA6827, which follows in the footsteps of the Chergach and Tamdakht coins featuring a spectacular breakthrough at the center of the impact crater, adorned with a real meteorite fragment. The Erfoud Meteorite coin is copper plated to reflect the natural color of the Moroccon desert. Partial color applications highlight the crater relief. The original meteorite weighed 1289 grams and was discovered in 2008. Shipped in a newly designed collector’s box, the Erfoud Meteorite is sure to take center stage in any collection.
