CIT successful at the "World Money Fair Award" at the WMF 2026

The World Money Fair Award was presented for the first time at the World Money Fair in Berlin. There were two categories—silver and gold coins. The jury consisted of visitors who were able to vote for their favorites on site. The mere fact that we were nominated in both categories with one coin made us really proud.

But in the end, it turned out even better. We were able to take home two awards.

Second place in the gold coin category with “60 Years of Self-Government” and even first place in the silver coin category with “Reppublica Italiana.”

It was a very special moment for one member of the CIT team – our colleague Antonio Basuino. As the designer (with Italian roots), he was able to accept the award in person. His coin. His country. His award.
