A special reference to the historical model: The monumental statue of Genghis Khan, on which this motif is based, measures an impressive 700×630×750 cm. It depicts Genghis Khan in his youth in 1189, at the beginning of the rise of the Great Mongol Empire and is entirely covered in Mongolian gold. The imperial throne bears the golden seal of the empire and rests on a multi-part pedestal of marble, bronze, and gold, the design of which is inspired by the sacred Mount Burkan-Khaldun. The three-tiered base symbolizes the past, present, and future. The depiction is complemented by a tiger skin, emblematic of victory, and a white felt carpet, representing the enduring power of the state. This extraordinary work was ceremonially unveiled on March 1st, 2025.

The front depicts a majestic eagle – the classic hunting animal of Mongolian culture. In Mongolia, the eagle symbolizes strength, courage, freedom, and cultural heritage. Particularly in western Mongolia, this significance is embodied by the centuries-old tradition of eagle trapping and hunting with golden eagles – a connection between humans and animals based on respect, symbiosis, and a deep spiritual bond with nature.
