The name Sinraptor comes from the Latin prefix “Sino”, meaning Chinese, and “Raptor” meaning robber. The fossil discovered in China measures 3 m in height and 7.5 m in length. Sinraptor was estimated to have weighed over a ton! A 150 million years ago the Sinraptor may have hunted other medium sized dinosaurs.
