The second issue of the cupped, oval gold coin is a homage to a miniature Easter egg from the house of Fabergé around 1900. The original work of art, made by master craftsman Michail Jewlampijewitsch Perchin, is stored at the National Museum of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Like its predecessor, the Golden Egg № 2 is authentically coloured on the convex side and struck from a half gram of gold. By means of micro minting the Coat of Arms shines in unbelievably intricate detail on the concave side. The new Golden Egg is thus not only visually, but also technically a feast for the eyes.
The original masterpiece is on exhibit at the Liechtenstein National Museum.
