The classical design of a „British“ sports car which made history as well. The company won several Le Mans 24 Hours Racing between 1925 and 1930 with this type of compressor supported motor. These victories have strengthen the desire to drive a winning car. Furthermore it was a strong argument for a good quality car. In private use the 4,5 l 6-cylinder motor was strong enough to reach the max speed of more than 160 km/h. Bentley was taken over by Rolls-Royce in 1931 because of the excellent market acceptance of their limousine concept and design.
